Today we want to talk about the angel wings, the crispy pastry fries that change their name depending on the regions in which they are prepared, but whose goodness is always the same. Here is the recipe and some useful tips to prepare them!<\/p>\n<h3>Some tips to obtain a perfect dough.<\/h3>\n<p>The preparation of the angel wings is really simple and does not need specific tools: just put a little work in and you&#8217;re done!<\/p>\n<p>Always remember that:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>All the ingredients for the dough must be <strong>at room temperature<\/strong> (do not forget to pull out in time the eggs and butter from the fridge).<\/li>\n<li>To prevent the flour from forming unpleasant lumps, it is a good idea to add it to the other ingredients <strong>after sieving it<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>Rolling out the dough with the appropriate machine is the most practical solution, but if you do not have one, a simple <strong>rolling pin<\/strong> will be more than enough (you&#8217;ll only need a little more time).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Angel wings: how to fry them.<\/h3>\n<p>The angel wings are the fried pastry <em>par excellence<\/em> and, if cooked properly, the end result will be light and crunchy and not oily.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The trick is to soak the wings in hot oil (about 180\u00b0) but not too hot<\/strong>, for two reasons:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>If use oil that is too cold, the sealing crust will not form, meaning that they will soak up too much oil.<\/li>\n<li>Instead, if you use oil that is too hot, you will burn them nearly instantly.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>If you do not have a food thermometer, the best way to understand when it is time to soak our angel wings is to use a grandma-trick: <strong>dip a toothpick<\/strong>, if it &#8220;sizzles&#8221;, it is the right time!<\/p>\n<p>One last piece of advice: remember to fry just a few wings at a time, otherwise you risk lowering the oil temperature too much.<\/p>\n<p>Now that you know it all, you just have to implement our recommendations, and get to work on one of the simplest and most delicious recipes there are!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>What would carnival be without its traditional sweets?
